My nerdy adolescence spent as a high school newspaper and yearbook editor molded me well for a career in journalism. My love of story-telling and media molded me well for a career in public relations. And I haven’t looked back since.
I have nearly a decade of experience under my belt, in both agency and in-house roles. In my tenure I’ve managed portfolios of clients in hospitality, tourism, non-profit, health care, city government and insurance (psst.. view my full resume here). I’ve been lucky enough to share the stories of passionate food truck owners, inspiring cancer patients and small business owners. In-house, I’ve assisted companies with internal communication plans, including managing newsletters and email campaigns.
As a consultant, I enjoy the opportunity to continue my PR passion in my new military, married life. Whether it’s getting the word out about a business or writing website copy behind the scenes, I take on every project with gusto. And probably my rescue corgi in tow.
My services include:
- Media Relations (Strategy, Media List Building, Press Releases, Pitches)
- Copywriting (Blog Posts, Bylines, Website Copy, E-Newsletters, White Papers)
- Community Relations
- Event Publicity
- Social Media Marketing (Content Calendar, Community Management)
I hold a B.A. in Journalism with an Emphasis in Public Relations from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash.
In my tenure, I’ve successfully garnered placements in top tier publications such as New York Times, USA Today, Sunset, AFAR, Rachael Ray Every Day, Outside Magazine, Martha Stewart Weddings and others.
